The short answer
Not here. This studio has no free clip, no free trial and no free credits, and new accounts start at zero credits. One Tiny Desk Outstanding AI video costs $9.99 at 480p or $12.99 at 720p, and you see that total on the button before you pay. There is no subscription.
The reason is simple: every clip runs a video model for the full 15 seconds, and that costs money whether or not anyone pays for it. A site that gives full-length clips away has to make the cost back somewhere, usually with a watermark, a shorter or lower-resolution preview, a daily cap, or a subscription after the trial.
What "free" usually means for Tiny Desk AI
When you search for a free Tiny Desk AI generator, the results tend to fall into a few groups. None of them is wrong, but they are not the same thing as a free, full clip with your face in it.
| What is called free | What you usually get | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Trial credits on an AI video app | One or two short clips | A watermark or a lower resolution, then credits or a monthly plan |
| A free preview | A few seconds or a still frame | The full clip is paid |
| A how-to guide | Instructions for a general video model and a reference clip | You still pay the model, write the prompt and redo bad takes |
| An editor template | The original song over your own footage | You film yourself and act out the band |
| Filming it yourself | A real desk concert | You need a desk, a keyboard, friends and a few takes |
If you want the AI version with your face in the lead, at full length and without a mark on it, expect to pay for it somewhere.
Is there a watermark?
This studio does not add a watermark or logo to the finished file. You get the 15-second vertical clip as it was generated, at the resolution you paid for, and you can download it from the result page.
The clips on the homepage are a different thing. They were published by other Tiny Desk AI studios and kept as references, so you can see the scene. They are labeled as references and are not a preview of your result.
What a clip really costs here
There are two ways to pay, and both make exactly the same clip.
| Option | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| One clip at 480p | $9.99 | One 15-second vertical clip, the default resolution |
| One clip at 720p | $12.99 | The same clip, sharper |
| 30-credit pack | $27.99 | 5 clips at 480p (6 credits each) or 2 at 720p (13 credits each) |
| 100-credit pack | $71.99 | 16 clips at 480p or 7 at 720p |
| 200-credit pack | $129.99 | 33 clips at 480p or 15 at 720p |
Paying once works as a guest or signed in. Credit packs need an account, are one-time purchases and do not renew. Buying a pack does not start a clip by itself; you still press Generate.
If a paid clip fails before it is delivered, credits that paid for it are released back to your balance. A single payment goes to refund review with the same payment provider. A failure message on its own is not a refund confirmation.
One to five faces, one price
Some Tiny Desk AI sites charge more for each extra face. Here you can fill up to five spots (back left, back right, lead, keys and sax) and the price stays the same for one face or five; empty spots keep the original performers.
If you want a whole band of friends, fill all five spots in one clip. Each spot needs its own photo of one person. The comparison page lists other options side by side.
How to check any "free" Tiny Desk AI offer
Before you upload a photo anywhere, these questions sort out most offers:
- Is the free clip full length, or a few seconds?
- Is there a watermark, and does removing it cost extra?
- Which resolution is free, and which one is paid?
- Does it ask for a card or a subscription before the first clip?
- Does it keep the original song, or generate new sound?
- What happens to your photo after the clip is made?
What to do before you pay here
Use one clear, front-facing photo of one adult per face, each of someone who agreed to be in the video. A blurry or group photo is the most common reason a result looks off, and it costs the same as a good one. The lead-photo guide shows what works.
Start at 480p. It is the same clip, length, framing and sound as 720p, only less sharp, and it is plenty for a phone screen. Pick 720p when it will be watched on a bigger screen.
The sound in the clip is newly generated. It is not Charlie Wilson's performance, not the Gap Band recording and not NPR audio. If you need the original song, an editor template is the better choice.
